I have no idea is i suffer from this, but i'll tell an example, in the past two days ive only have had 3 hours of sleep, feel awake, but tried. Can't fall sleep, and not knowing what really i can do to fix this. It's been going on like this for about 3 to 4 months, their are the odd times where i can sleep up too 12 hours in one day but then wont sleep for a day up to 3 days. I'm 14 turning 15 soon.

Umm... I am not sure if I have insomnia or not. But I do know it is very difficult to fall asleep. I normally am able to finally fall asleep anywhere from 12am to 6am. It is a struggle when school is in because I have to be up by 5am and normally cant fall asleep til 1, 2 or 3 in the morning. The odd thing is that I am normally not tired all day til the evenings (which is when i cant sleep). I am 14 (almost 15) and I have been like this for a few years I have not clue what to do...

Hi there,
i am always very tired, often yawning a lot and am very sleepy, even when i have just woken up. I wish just sometimes i could sleep in, even on the weekends i wake up early. I often dont get to sleep until after 11.30, and i usually go to bed around 9.30 to ten oclock. I often wake up earlier than 6.00 am, and am sick and tired of this. I try to go back to sleep but am unsuccesful most mornings. I am fifteen years old, what should i do? it is affecting my moods and my grumpiness, and my relationships. Thankyou =)

Many of us want to sleep as little as possible. There is so much to do that sleep seems like a waste of time. Yet sleep, an essential time of rest and rejuvenation, benefits our minds and bodies in many ways. When you continuously don’t get the amount of sleep you need, you begin to pay for it in daytime drowsiness, trouble concentrating, irritability, increased risk of falls and accidents, and lower productivity.
Better Quality Sleep benefits to our mood, memory and concentration.
